Spiced walnut topping for hummus

- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup (!) paprika
- 1/4 cup tomato paste
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
Reserve half the walnuts. Process the remaining ingredients into a puree. Add the remaining walnuts and process briefly. You want a coarse-textured puree, but you want the garlic well chopped.
